Saturday, September 29th
The day started with Mass:
...not!
At least there were no confessions.
Our visit to the cathedral coincided with some kind of religious sect conducting some kind of quasi religious ceremony, which Prue translated as a Catholic Mass (I'll take her word for it - she's the expert).
Followed by morning coffee - we've decided that Australians do coffee much better than the French - sacre bleu!

Then a walk into town where various markets and outdoor restaurants were set up for Saturday trade. Unfortunately, it was overcast and threatening rain.
But the famous Place de la Comedie was as attractive as ever, despite the weather:
We into Galleries Lafayette to look for various souvenirs and gifts and by the time we came out it was raining quite heavily:
It was 1:00pm and we decided to head back to our (new) hotel where hopefully our room would be ready. Indeed it was, and we spent to afternoon indoors looking at the rain pouring into the courtyard, reading, catching up on the blog, and napping:
Before the evening G&T and Campari & Perrier, followed by dinner in a local (ie. not a long way from the hotel) restaurant:
As the rain continued to fall:
