London

Tuesday, October 2nd

We decided to spend the day visiting the Victoria and Albert Museum:

Where they have a huge and fantastic collection of everything from Middle Age French spiral staircases:

To Mick Jagger and Adam Ant costumes:

And from columns and sarcophagus:

To Kylie's dressing room:

In the middle of which we had coffee in the lovely plaza in the middle of the museum, despite the cloudy conditions and cool wind (OK, so the sun came out just for this picture):

We then walked down the road to visit Harrods. God knows why we and thousands of others are drawn there - it must be all of the self promotion. Nevertheless, it's quite an experience to see how the "other half" live.

And what visit to Harrods would be complete without Devonshire Tea in one of the 25+ restaurants and coffee shops?!

We then did a bit more site seeing:

Before Campari and soda in the Dickens Inn at St Katherine's Dock:

And dinner beside nearby Tower Bridge:

We arrived back at the Heathrow hotel around 10:00pm and are now ready for the next phase of the trip - Hong Kong.
